Please review the following information in preparation for your mission trip to Haiti.
Important Note: All Missions team members must be 13 years of age or older (parental consent required). All team members must obtain a valid US Passport prior to traveling. There is a $10.00 (US) per foreign traveler entry fee that is charged upon arrival into Haiti. Be prepared to pay this fee to the custom officer when you arrive.
Flights: There are three airlines that fly from the US to Haiti as follows:
Delta Airlines-1-800-221-1212
American Airlines-1-800-433-7300
Spirit Airlines-1-800-772-7117
Airfare is the sole responsibility of each participant(s) and travel insurance is recommended. There are several online travel insurance agencies (via Google search) available. Cost is less than $100.00. We highly recommend if possible all team members travel on the same flight and/or arrive into Port Au Prince at approximately the same time to avoid being charged additional transport expenses. Flights to Haiti generally cost from $600-$800 depending on the time of travel. We recommend booking your flight within 8-12 weeks of your anticipated trip dates to receive the best pricing available.
Ground Cost Per Person:$1200.00
Ground cost includes roundtrip transportation to and from the airport, transportation to ministry location in Tabarre, Haiti for duration of mission trip. Ground cost also includes lodging at missionary house, breakfast, dinner and cost of purchasing water and translator(s) fees. Lunch is not provided however we recommend you bring ample nonperishable snack items, peanut butter, preserves, Nutella, granola bars, etc. to share amongst team members. A 50% non-refundable deposit of ground cost is required at time of booking. All checks should be made payable to love God love People Missions, International, Inc. Please note: love God love People Missions is a Non-Profit ministry.
T-Shirts- Love God Love People T-shirts are available in adult unisex sizes small to extra-extra-large. The cost for each shirt is $25.00. Please email a list of amounts and sizes needed within 4 weeks of travel to ensure availability. Thank you for supporting our ministry and helping us keep our administrative cost low by purchasing T-shirts for your team members.
Optional Expenses:
We love to offer our teams the option of going to the beach or out to lunch/dinner as a group (including translator/s) to refresh prior to travel back to US. This gives team members a chance to share their testimonies and reflect on the experiences they have shared. Cost of either optional excursion. $100.00
Missions Team Member Information Form:
Every team member is required to complete a Missions Team Information form and sign a travel waiver (attached). Please have this form signed and notarized by all team members.
